PRO BASKETBALL -- February 14

NEW YORK at UTAH -- You've got to believe New York got caught looking ahead to this one last night in Denver. Knicks very hungry for payback here. In initial meeting, they were pasted 89-58 at the Garden on December 15. Knicks still 9-6 ATS as a road dog, and shouldn't be in "altitude shock" here after playing in the Rockies last night. Jazz holds no scheduling advantage, as they played last night as well. So look for New York to run a bit more than usual and take Utah out of its comfortable half-court offense and defense. THE PLAY: NEW YORK ***

COLLEGE BASKETBALL -- February 14

MISS. ST. at OLE MISS -- We're looking for a fired-up Rebel team here. MSU dealt Ole Miss a painful blow with 79-69 win in last, and swept last season's series. Ole Miss has held opponents to less than 59 points per game at home this season, and has been particularly vise-like in last two home outings against Tennessee and LSU, holding Vols and Tigers to 37% shooting combined. Bulldogs not shooting lights-out (just 18% from arc in last five!), so that could make Rod Barnes' defensive game plan even simpler. THE PLAY: OLE MISS ***
