FORREST SELECTED AS DEBUT FIGHTER OF THE MONTH FOR
'NEW LOOK' HBOPPV WEBSITE - HBOPPV.COM
For immediate release:
Tuesday, November 12 (New York, NY) . . . 'Undisputed' welterweight champion Vernon
Forrest was selected as the first 'Fighter of the Month' for the debut of the 'new look'
HBO Pay-Per-View official website, www.hboppv.com, launched Monday. "It's a honor to
be selected as the first fighter of the month for the new site," said Forrest.
"I look real pretty too."
In addition to the hboppv site, Forrest can also be found on HBO's Inside the NFL website
(www.hbo.com/infl) where he is competing as an "HBO Star" in the season-long
"Beat the Experts" competition. He is engaged in a fierce fight with Inside the
NFL experts Chris Collingsworth and Dan Marino. Handling his business like he has with his
undefeated career, Forrest is currently in second place only two points behind
Collingsworth. "I still have six weeks to go," said Forrest. "I plan on
catching Collingsworth in the later rounds and knocking out everyone else in the
process."
About www.hboppv.com - The site will serve as one-stop-shop for information on current
pay-per-view events, exclusive video clips and photo galleries, contests/sweepstakes,
rankings and champions, past pay-per-view events, the history of HBO Pay-Per-View, and
historical pay-per-view posters that can be downloaded to the user's desktop. Visitors
will also be able to search for their local cable or satellite providers on the site.
Highlighted on a monthly basis are special features: "Fighter of the Month",
"Beyond the Ring", and "This Month in Boxing History". "Fighter
of the Month" will highlight the career in and out of the ring of a new boxer every
month. "This Month in Boxing History" takes fans back in time allowing them
to remember some of boxing greatest moments. "Beyond the Ring" will showcase
behind the scene information and accomplishments of different fighters.
