RISING STARS HIGHLIGHT FORREST/MOSLEY FIGHT UNDERCARD
JULY 20 AT CONSECO FIELDHOUSE IN INDIANAPOLIS

Harding vs Tarver Bout Along with Vinson, Dokawari and Indy Favorite Davis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 27, 2002) – The Vernon Forrest Shane Mosley undercard will also pack a powerful punch. In addition to the WBC Welterweight Championship rematch, the lineup for the July 20th fight night at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis features two of boxing’s most talented young stars.

In the co-feature, highly-ranked Southpaw Eric Harding meets former Olympic medallist Antonio Tarver in a 10 Round Light Heavyweight bout, a rematch of their June 2000 fight, in which Harding prevailed by unanimous decision. The winner of the Harding/Tarver showdown is expected to earn a title shot against WBC and IBF Light Heavyweight Champion Roy Jones, Jr. (46-1, 37 KOs). This bout will also air on HBO preceding the Forrest Mosley fight.

Indiana’s own will also showcase their talents in the ring. At least four boxers from Indianapolis will be featured on the undercard, including Heavyweight Enrique Ruiz and unbeaten Junior Middleweight Sherwin Davis. The Conseco Fieldhouse fight card will be the “Main Event” of Indiana Black Expo Week’s Summer Celebration, now celebrating its 32nd year.

“As we continue to establish Conseco Fieldhouse as the boxing mecca of the Midwest, we recognize the importance of showcasing our homegrown talent and giving fans added incentive to be part of this historic night of boxing,” said David Kahn, General Manager of Pacers Sports and Entertainment.
