MARILYN CHAMBERS, VP CANDIDATE FOR PERSONAL CHOICE, ENDORSES McCULLOUGH IN ATTORNEY GENERAL RACE
Cites candidate's commitment to defending free speech
Elkhart, IN -- MARILYN CHAMBERS, the vice-presidential nominee of the Utah-based Personal Choice Party, has officially offered her endorsement of Salt Lake City attorney ANDREW McCULLOUGH for the elective office of Utah Attorney General, it was announced today.
McCullough, running on the Libertarian Party ticket, is a long-time defender of civil liberties and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the American Civil Liberties Union of Utah. The BYU grad has waged a constant battle for freedom of speech, which includes fighting for the rights of adult entertainment establishments against intrusive local and state laws in Utah.
Ms. Chambers, of course, is a living legend in the adult entertainment industry - starring in some of the most popular adult films of all time, including her 1972 classic, "Behind the Green Door".
The following is her official statement regarding the candidacy of Andrew McCullough:
"I join with Ken Larsen, the Personal Choice Party candidate for Governor of Utah, in endorsing Andrew McCullough for Utah Attorney General. Andrew shares my concerns with the right to Free Speech guaranteed by the First Amendment and has spent many years as an attorney working to protect that right, and fighting for civil liberties in general. As Attorney General, Andrew would put the individual rights of the people of Utah ahead of the wishes of State employees who desire more power over the lives of the citizens. I urge the voters of Utah to cast their votes for Andrew, the Libertarian candidate for Utah Attorney General."
Ms. Chambers, who is running with CHARLES JAY, the Personal Choice Party's presidential candidate, officially appears on the ballot under her married name, Marilyn Chambers Taylor.
